Thank you to everyone who came to our Harvest Festival service on Wednesday morning. We were overwhelmed by the donations we received for the Helston & The Lizard Foodbank – THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! Our thanks also to the members of The Lizard Methodist Chapel for allowing us to hold our service there again.
Mrs Green and Mrs Bray accompanied Tyler and Teagan from Choughs class to the main foodbank collection centre in Helston on Wednesday afternoon, to deliver the goods that had been donated.
Thanks to your incredible generosity, we donated 76.4kg of goods to help support those in need. Tyler and Teagan helped to weigh the goods we had delivered and then assisted in putting together a foodbox, with the help of volunteers Miriam and Mary. Our box also contained a note to its recipient telling them that it had been collected, packed and sent with love from the children at Landewednack School and Little Lizards Nursery.
We are hopeful that this will be the start of a link forged between the foodbank, Landewednack and Little Lizards and would like in the future to give more children the opportunity the visit their collection point in Helston.
