Hello Choughs,

Hope you're all well and have had a good weekend. I have created this suggested home learning timetable for the children. It includes links to free creative learning resources and reading resources.

As always, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you,
Miss Carey

I would recommend the children work their way through this booklet: https://www.englishmastery.org/our-response-to-coronavirus-covid-19/
It was also be great if they could keep a diary and practise spellings. Below are links to some spelling checklists, it would be useful if you could test your children on 10 or so a day and any that they don't get right first time need to be practised every day for a week and used in sentences.

It would be great if children could write a diary or do some creative writing of their choice to share with us on Class Dojo.
Here are some English games that are also useful:

For the last half term I thought it would be useful to focus on grammar, punctuation and spelling. Below are "Grammar Hammer" checks that each cover all the curriculum objectives for each year group. The first time they try one it will might be quite tricky but the sheets repeat themselves quite a lot so they should get more independent.

YEAR 2 - start on Stage 1 checks then move on to Stage 2.

YEAR 3 - start on Stage 2 checks then move on to Stage 3.

If you need more sheets or any help then just let me know

The files below help students work on their of year targets. Like Grammar Hammer, they are designed to repeat the same skills to help children become more confident. There are five sheets in each file, the idea is to do one each day for a week.

YEAR 2 - start on level 1 and work your way up to stage 3.

YEAR 3 - start on stage 2 and work to stage 3. I will add some Year 3 arithmetic tests later in the term.
YEAR 2 and YEAR 3 please complete the Year 3 work this week. If you have time to do the Year 2 work as well then great but as it's mass (grams and kilograms) and volume (ml and l) it would be useful to do it practically through things like cooking rather than the sheets.
